Is VibeLink really free?
Yes — all of it. VibeLink is free software under GPL-3.0-only. Terminal panes, the 17-agent roster, Review, Memory, the 10 bundled skills, automations, Git worktrees, browser control, remote hosts, messaging, and the Android remote client are all included. Nothing is locked and nothing expires.
What does the GPL-3.0 license mean for me?
You can use VibeLink for any purpose, personal or commercial, study and modify the source code, and share copies. If you distribute a modified version, it has to stay under GPL-3.0-only. The corresponding source archive for every published release is downloadable from https://vibelink.moobang.net/releases under the same license.
Why does the Microsoft Store version cost money when the app is free?
The Store edition (₩9,900) is the same code with the same features — buying it funds development and adds automatic updates through the Store. Downloading from this site stays free.
How can I support development?
Back VibeLink through GitHub Sponsors at https://github.com/sponsors/JSCOP, buy the Microsoft Store edition, or file bug reports from inside the app. Sponsoring never unlocks extra features — everyone runs the same app.
Do I need an account?
No. The local workspace works without signing in. An optional Moobang account enables feedback and account-based host and supported settings sync. Your AI agents use their own provider accounts.
Are AI subscriptions and API usage included?
VibeLink is free, but your coding agents keep their own subscriptions, credentials, and API billing. Install your preferred agent CLIs separately and connect the accounts you already use.
Which desktop systems are supported?
VibeLink Desktop supports Windows 10/11 x64, Ubuntu 22.04+ x86_64, and macOS 13+ on Intel and Apple silicon. The macOS package is an unsigned beta, so use Control-click → Open on first launch and grant Accessibility plus Screen Recording for computer control. VibeLink Voice remains Windows-only. The Android remote client pairs with a running desktop.
Which AI coding agents does it work with?
VibeLink detects 17 installed agent CLIs — Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Grok, Antigravity, Oh My Pi, OpenCode, Cursor Agent, GitHub Copilot CLI, Amp, Devin, Factory Droid, Kimi Code, MiMo Code, Command Code, Hermes, and Pi — and ships Shell, PowerShell, and CMD profiles too. Install the agents yourself; VibeLink never bundles or updates them.
What is VibeLink Voice?
VibeLink Voice 0.2.4 is a separate Windows push-to-talk app. Hold a chord, speak, and release: local Whisper dictation is typed into the focused window, or switch to Chat to talk with Gemini or ChatGPT. It is free, GPL-3.0-only, and works with or without VibeLink Desktop.
How do agents use my browser?
Through VibeLink Browser Control, a Manifest V3 Chrome extension on the Chrome Web Store (https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/vibelink-browser-control/bomnoeeillngfgdmdpjoljokbkicpjgi). It talks only to the VibeLink daemon on 127.0.0.1 and drives the tabs you already have open, so agents work inside your own profile and sign-ins. In VibeLink Desktop, Settings → Browser → Enable browser control installs the vibelink-browser skill for every agent and registers the extension for Chrome in one click; an unpacked zip is on the download page for Developer-mode installs.
Where does my data go?
VibeLink stores project Memory, transcripts, and reviews on your computer. It checks this site for release updates. Optional account sync and submitted feedback use the website; connected AI providers, remote hosts, and messaging destinations receive the data used by those integrations under their own settings and policies.
